Demuxed with the latest DGDemux with merge DV function.

This is mostly an alternate remux to that from the Shout Factory UHD, as Arrow has a significantly different grade than Shout Factory. Arrow has a bit more of a warmer tone. Arrow sometimes has better compression but other times, Shout seems to retain more grain; Hence the alternate remux. It is worth mentioning that the FRA UHD Blu-ray has the same grade as Shout Factory but has a worse encode.

The Dual Mono on the Shout is boosted to the point of some clipping. However, compared to the alternatives - with the exception of the alternate track -, Shout Factory has better fidelity than the LaserDisc tracks, including Criterion. The LaserDisc a lot of distortions that the Shout track (despite the clipping) doesn't have. There's a dual mono track from Nordic PAL DVD (it's not the botched one on the Hong Kong Rescue Blu-ray) with exceptional fidelity. It sounds great, but it seems the EQ has been tinkered with; still after hearing the track, it is worth including as an alternate; Samples.

The Arrow mono track is from the same NOR PAL DVD source but it has a bit of noise reduction, cutoff, and some normalization that obliterates the dynamic range vs the DVD track. As it is clearly lossy, there's no gain in retaining the Arrow track.

The Atmos track from Arrow was included but it's not a good remix. It's from the alternate mono but it was hit with even more noise reduction, sounding more muffled and echoey than said alternate mono.

Synced the FRA UHD Blu-ray 5.0 surround remix. It's a 5.0 in a 5.1 container with an empty LFE. so it was passed to 5.0 with the respective channel order. This remix is very faithful to the mono on the Shout UHD and has considerable dynamic range, hence it was worth including. The 2.0 on the FRA UHD Blu-ray is just a downmix of the 5.0 track.

Only kept the English dub from Arrow because it was less boosted and already in mono.

Commentaries all had more cutoff on the Arrow vs the Shout ones, so all of them were synced to the Arrow. The intro had to be patched a bit from Shout for commentary #1 and #2 since they mixed the voices of the participants right on the Golden Princess logo while Shout has its' on the Shout Studios logo (which is cut on Arrow). Part of the Bey Logan introduction had to be cut but what is cut is not of much importance.

All the tracks on the Shout were mono, so stripped all to one channel; Mono Inversion Checks.

For additional commentaries, the Hong Kong Rescue this time sports a very well synced track from the Fox Lorber NTSC DVD with no flaws; so kept it as Arrow's track has more cut off. However, Bey Logan's commentary has the wrong pitch, so synced the track from the original Hong Kong Legends PAL DVD with the correct pitch and its speed changed to 23.976.

All additional PGS were tonemapped to same % as the Arrow UHD. The best subs are from Arrow so they were set as default.
Named chapters from the GBR PAL DVD, as the Criterion has quotes with wrong translations that aren't on the new English subs. The PAL DVD also has less stops and no quotes, so it was synced to I-frames of remux, with an added chapter for the End Credits.
