in HEVC Main 10 at ~50 Mb/s ABR target. This encode retains visible release-print
grain, natural density fluctuations, photochemical tonal response, and high-frequency
detail inherent to the scanned 35mm element — no digital noise reduction or
artificial sharpening applied.

Original theatrical aspect ratio: 1.85:1 (spherical 35mm projection).
This presentation uses a 16:9 (1.78:1) container to preserve the full scanned
image area from the 35mm element (open-gate / taller framing), which may
reveal additional vertical information beyond the theatrical masked projection.

Primary audio preserves the original 35mm optical stereo track in 24-bit FLAC.
Additional tracks include surround optical (4.0), LaserDisc stereo, DVD 5.1/4.1,
