Video
While the CC UHD is encoded by NexSpec, not Pixelogic, and thus doesn't suffer from a low pass, the encode still falters because of extremely blocky and flat highlights. With the FEL baked on the CC UHD, the Plaion encode is very similar. Ultimately, the Plaion has a better encode in most scenes and doesn't suffer from the very noticeable highlight blocking on the CC. The Plaion isn't perfect, with blocks showing up often in very grainy negative-sourced shots, but it does not have any issues as bad and as noticeable as the CC's blocky highlights.

Audio
The Warner H.V. LaserDisc remains the best option for stereo. The Plaion 2.0 appears to be either a downmix of the (lightly remixed) 5.1 elements or a transfer of the 2.0 mix with a radically different EQ and a bass cut. The 5.1 mix is pretty much the same between all sources. The Plaion is dithered to 16-bit and the MGM has clipping, so the CC 5.1 was used. Both tracks had the modern MGM logo from the Plaion spliced at the head to avoid an awkward silence at the beginning.

Subtitles & Chapters
English (non-SDH) subtitles were stripped from the English SDH subtitles from Netflix as that sub removes the most direct parts of CC's English SDH subtitles (stuttering, pauses, etc.) while maintaining mostly the same formatting. The English SDH subs from CC were set as the default SDH sub as they are more "e;complete"e; for deaf and hard of hearing viewers, the English SDH subtitles from Netflix were set as alternate. All PGS subtitles from sources #2 + #4 were tonemapped to match the GER UHD subtitles (#949494, 58% white). The Greek subtitles from source #6 were converted to PGS, synced, and tonemapped (thanks vevv!). Subtitles from HBO Max were taken from the previous CiNEPHiLES remux as the title is no longer available.

Named chapters from source #5 were synced to matching scene change I- or P-frames.
