RELEASE NOTES..: This is one of the all-time great comedies, and surprisingly progressive for its day. For the video track, went with Criterion as they had a cleaner, more balanced encode despite limited brightness, as Kino Lorber had overcooked their boosted style HDR grade and had some artifacts (see comparison). If you prefer the KL image, existing releases are out there for you. I checked all audio tracks and KL had less filtering for the original mono audio, but Criterion did a better job of cleaning up and isolating each channel for the 5.1 surround mix (e.g. no bleeding of other channels into LFE), while maintaining virtually identical dynamic range. As usual, included converted Dolby Digital+ compatibility audio and variety of subtitles. Enjoy the funnies!
Every UNITED24 release is dedicated to those who defend democracy the world over, while practicing kindness and compassion towards others.
