A feeble tale of hookers from beyond the grave interrupts some otherwise decent action in HAUNTED, a 1999 Vivid Production featuring trim, hardbodied Kobe Tai. Although the main feature scenes are serviceable, HAUNTED is a tad routine and the fairly nominal extras (for a Vivid disc) make this a passable, if less then spectacular, offering.
Julian and Kobe, with her undeniably tanned, perfect, blemish, piercing and tattoo-free figure, star as a couple preparing for a weekend getaway with friends Bobby Vitale and Priscilla Jane. Of course, Kobe needs some loving before the big weekend so she convinces Julian to put away his work and service her. Looking great in a little, white nighty, Kobe presents her perfect privates for Julian to lick, which he does with gusto. Kobe returns the favor with some nice shlong gulping before the two proceed to bang in a number of positions. (A multi-angle feature is available (and sometimes useful given the close quarters in which some of the initial action is filmed) but can be disabled by the viewer). Julian finishes in Kobe's grinning mouth and she eagerly continues to suck the tip of his sensitive knob to get every last drop (a great visual).
Finally on the road with Bobby and Priscilla, a cute, curvy redhead with a slew of unfortunate tattoos that make her look like a female gang member, the foursome stop to gas up the car. When Kobe tries to freshen up, she finds the bathroom occupied by Mr. Marcus and luscious Taylor Hayes. Taylor gulps her meaty partner before he gives her an energetic pounding over the bathroom sink. The tight space makes for an unfortunate lack of medium shots but Taylor, as always, looks great and takes a consignment of testicular motor oil on her quivering behind. After arriving at their destination, a bright, spacious manor, the couples settle in and the girls begin experiencing ghostly images of nubile, scantily clad ladies appearing in showers and mirrors. After a quick dinner, Kobe and Bobby leave the dining room, giving Julian and Priscilla and chance to have some "e;dessert."e; The two engage in a fairly tepid suck and fuck with Julian releasing on Priscilla's ample chest.
Meanwhile, Bobby begins seeing ghostly images of Chennin Blanc and Amber, a hot, Asian hardbody, who induce him to give Kobe a good, hard pounding. Again, Kobe looks great and gives a fun, energetic, vocal performance (particularly after Bobby gives her a meat injection in her ass). Unfortunately, Kobe only uses her hand to finish off her athletic partner. With all the sexually charged energy in the house, Brittany, a ghostly Madame, and Chennin and Amber, spectral hookers, are able reveal themselves to the two couples. They explain that the house was built on the site of an old brothel that burned down and, on the anniversary of the fire, the ghosts can reveal themselves, providing people are fucking in the house at the time (or something). Kobe and Julian seem fairly unimpressed with this visit from the afterlife and leave Bobby and Priscilla to wrap up the festivities with another suck and fuck while Chennin and Amber trade off eager tongues and clits on a nearby couch. Although Chennin and Amber look good, the constant switching between couples is distracting. (Personally, I was hoping to see some foursome action but no such luck).
Fans of Kobe Tai certainly won't be disappointed by HAUNTED as she turns in her usual sexy, energetic performance (including some anal). The film also features ample chapter stops, competent lighting, direction and sound. However, Kobe's tight, wet dream of a body, aside, the dopey plot and otherwise standard action (with the exception of Taylor Hayes' rousing scene) tend not to raise this title decisively above the bar. Also, for a Vivid title, the extras are good but not great. They only include four bonus preview scenes, still photos, and "e;fetish rooms"e; which merely take you back to various segments in the main feature. (Fans of Kobe and Taylor would do much better with THE ULTIMATE KOBE TAI compilation disc and FADE TO BLACK, a top-flight film showcasing Taylor).
Bottom line, HAUNTED will definitely scare up some stiffness in your pants but other titles offer more boner-inducing thrills for the money.
